IDEX 2021: WB Group will modernize the rocket artillery in MENA country

During the IDEX 2021 defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the Polish WB Group announced signing of an agreement for rocket artillery modernization for unspecified country in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The choice of the Polish proposal was not accidental. It was based on the trust of a foreign military customer to proven solutions, deployed – also in combat – by the Polish Armed Forces. The favorable price offered for the modernization of the systems was also an important factor.

According to the terms of agreement, the rocket artillery systems will be modernized. The systems will be updated with new solutions which will increase the effectiveness and accuracy. According to the provisions, all works will be carried out outside Poland.

The signed contract is the result of many years of experience of the companies from the WB Group. Representatives of countries interested in artillery modernization took into account the achievements of the WB GROUP to date. The companies of the group have a broad experience in developing, modernizing and constantly improving systems for rocket and barrel artillery.

For nearly two decades, Polish Armed Forces are using the TOPAZ automated fire control and command system, which acts as an artillery battle management system (BMS). TOPAZ is a C2 system for artillery units, covering all aspects from logistics and reconnaissance up to the fire missions.
