Ceska zbrojovka, which is part of CZG Holding – Ceska zbrojovka Group and ranks among the world’s largest manufacturers of small arms, has announced the launch of a brand new series of bolt-action centerfire rifles under the CZ brand.
Since the 1960s, Ceska zbrojovka (headquartered in Uhersky Brod) has been among the global elite in the long firearm segment for hunting, sport and hobby. Many of its products are legendary: the ZKK 600 series, which was replaced by the CZ 550 and CZ 557 series’, as well as the light Hornet and Fox centerfire rifles that were followed by the popular CZ 527 series.
In the case of the CZ 600 series, Ceska zbrojovka has used a completely new, modular solution with a number of original design elements, as well as the latest manufacturing materials and technologies. And their courage to try a radically different concept has paid off handsomely. The result is improvements in all key features – from reliability and durability to ergonomics and shooting comfort to safety and accuracy.
At the heart of the CZ 600 series is a patent-protected bolt that locks into the barrel and guarantees controlled feeding of cartridges in all firearm positions, and even in the most demanding situations. Other benefits include a patented, ergonomically positioned vertical safety with completely silent operation, an extremely reliable feeding system that allows users to select detachable or fixed magazine configuration, an extremely durable finish, and easy disassembly that does not require manipulation of the trigger.
Five models in the following calibers have been announced for 2022:

The ALPHA, LUX, and ERGO models are guaranteed to shoot sub-MOA at 100 meters for three shot groups, and even sub-0.75 MOA for five shot groups on the RANGE model (all using match-grade factory ammunition). These impressive results are due to the high-quality, cold hammer forged barrels produced with CZ technology, which are always optimized for the caliber and come with a heavy, semi-heavy or lightweight profile, depending on the intended use of each specific model – for hunting, sport or hobby. Making a significant contribution to its high accuracy is a completely new, patent-protected trigger mechanism with easy-to-adjust pull weight.
The modular design of the CZ 600 series allows users to easily change to a different caliber that’s offered for a given size of the steel or durable aluminum receiver, or to a different barrel profile (limited by the stock design). After reassembling the barrel, retention of accuracy is guaranteed after the first cold shot.
The CZ 600 series will also be included in the successful CZ Configurator project, which is currently operating in four countries. Via the CZ Configurator, customers can create the rifle of their dreams, from the caliber and characteristics of the barrel to the type of trigger mechanism and interface for mounting optics.
CZ 600 ALPHA
The fiber-reinforced polymer stock of the CZ 600 ALPHA features a symmetrical design with soft touch plastic inserts on the pistol grip, forend and toe. Nine of the most popular calibers are available in the CZ 600 ALPHA model, from 223 Rem. to the powerful 300 Win Mag. Its interchangeable, semi-heavy barrel comes with a threaded muzzle and thread protector. Barrel lengths are optimized for each specific caliber. Optics are easily mounted on the integrated Picatinny rail on the durable aluminum receiver.
The CZ 600 ALPHA is factory tested and guaranteed sub-MOA at 100 meters (three-shot groups with match-grade factory ammunition). Easy maintenance makes this model particularly well suited for those who use their rifle on a daily basis and deeply value durability and reliability, regardless of inclement weather.
CZ 600 LUX
The CZ 600 LUX is the latest version of CZ’s classic centerfire hunting rifle. It comes with a traditional European style stock made with select grade walnut. Its decorative forend is made of dark brown laminated wood. Fish scale checkered grips guarantee comfortable and reliable handling. Walnut is also used for the bolt handle knob.
This model is available in five of the most popular hunting calibers – from 223 Rem. to 300 Win Mag. The interchangeable, cold hammer forged barrel has a threaded muzzle (thread protector included) and features open sights including a fiber optic front and rear sight. Optics can be mounted on the nitrided steel receiver via Remington 700-type bases and rings.
CZ 600 RANGE
The CZ 600 RANGE is a versatile target and hunting rifle for highly precise shooting at medium to long distances. It comes with a guaranteed, factory-tested accuracy of sub-0.75 MOA at 100 meters (five-shot groups when using match-grade factory ammunition). A heavy, CZ cold hammer forged barrel ensures it meets its accuracy requirements and features a muzzle with standardized threading for easy mounting of accessories. A solid laminated wood stock contributes to comfort and precise shot placement, with the buttstock ensuring stability and reliability when shooting with support. A tool-free, adjustable comb allows the stock to be fine-tuned to each shooter’s needs. A rail under the toe allows a monopod to be easily attached for stable elevation adjustments. The pistol grip is designed for right-handed shooters and provides comfortable thumb and hand support during extended range sessions. The stock is equipped with double-sided QD sockets for installation of quick disconnect sling swivels.
This model features a nitrided steel receiver drilled and tapped to accommodate Remington 700 style bases and mounts. The aluminum bolt knob is color matched to the stock.
CZ 600 TRAIL
A compact, bolt-action model with controls similar to those found on modern sporting rifles, the CZ 600 TRAIL delivers high levels of accuracy in a compact package. Long Picatinny rails are integrated on both the top of its aluminum receiver and forend. Additional mounting points include M-LOK® slots on the forend. The AR-15 compatible pistol grip features interchangeable backstraps that are compatible with the CZ P-09 pistol. The four-position telescopic stock features a cheekpiece on the left side.
The 223 Rem. caliber model is compatible with AR magazines. The 7.62×39 caliber model is compatible with the original CZ BREN 2 / CZ BREN 2 Ms series fiber-reinforced polymer magazines.
CZ 600 ERGO
This premium model with a light profile barrel is equipped with a specially designed, fiber-reinforced polymer stock with sophisticated ergonomics, which not only provides maximum shooting comfort but also contributes to its high accuracy. Stock length can be adjusted by replacing the rubber butt pad, which is available in three different sizes.
Six of the most popular calibers are offered, ranging from 223 Rem. to the 300 Win Mag. Optics can be mounted on standardized rails that are integrated on the durable, aluminum receiver. When the magazine lock is activated, the firearm changes to a fixed magazine configuration. A simple modification to the safety mechanism for decocking operation is currently being developed.
The CZ 600 ERGO model has a guaranteed, factory-tested sub-MOA at 100 meters (three-shot groups with match-grade factory ammunition).

Extreme accuracy
The ALPHA, LUX and ERGO models are guaranteed to shoot sub-MOA at 100 m for 3 shot groups, and the RANGE model shoots sub-0.75 MOA for 5 shot groups. The compact TRAIL version is guaranteed to shoot 2 MOA. All models are tested using match-grade factory ammunition.
Controlled feeding with short ejector
The CZ 600 series combines the best qualities of controlled feed and push feed systems. This simple and reliable patented design delivers 100% user controlled feed in all shooting positions, and even under the most demanding conditions.
Patented Trigger Mechanism
A newly developed, user adjustable single- or double-stage trigger mechanism with four levels of pull weight that can be adjusted without removing the receiver from the stock.
Unique safety
A patented, easy-to-access vertical safety at the top of the grip is released by pressing down and allows for completely silent operation.
Lockable Magazine
A detachable, double-stack magazine with a “push n‘ click” loading operation contributes to an exceptionally smooth and reliable feeding of rounds. The magazine is easily locked by sliding the magazine release up. When the magazine lock is activated, the firearm changes to a fixed magazine configuration.
Easy change of calibers
The barrel can be easily disassembled and reassembled by the user, which together with the modular design of the CZ 600 series, allows for the easy change of calibers for a given receiver size. After reassembling the barrel, retention of accuracy is guaranteed after the first cold shot.
Superior quality barrel
High-precision barrels with caliber-optimized lengths are cold hammer forged using CZ technology. The barrel features a threaded muzzle for mounting accessories.
Short rotation of bolt handle
Due to the use of a locking system, the bolt handle rotates 60° for quick and comfortable reloading without the risk of hitting the scope.
Safe disassembly
A spring-loaded button on the right side of the receiver allows for easy removal of the bolt without manipulating the trigger.
Standardized mounting interface
CZ 600 series receivers are equipped with an integrated Weaver rail (aluminum) or Remington 700 type mounting interface (steel).
Highly Durable Receiver
All CZ 600 series receivers are manufactured from durable aluminum or steel and come with a guaranteed service life of 20,000 shots.
Extremely durable finish
The surface of metal components in the CZ 600 series comes with CZ’s new BobOx chemical heat treatment, which gives it a hard, durable finish that resists corrosion.
