50 BAE Systems Hägglunds CV90 to Sweden

BAE Systems Hägglunds has signed a pre-production contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), worth approximately $4 million.

The vehicles – CV90 MkIIIC – will replace the 50 CV90s that Sweden has supplied to Ukraine. This first-stage contract is to agree and finalise the configuration and programme scheduling with the intention of signing a production contract in early 2024.

We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Sweden and this contract is an important step in continuing to provide the critical combat-proven CV90s the Swedish Army needs as it maintains the sovereignty and protection of our nation.

The CV90 family of vehicles is a world leader, evolving constantly to retain its leadership position, thanks to inputs from armed forces like Sweden’s, as they operate the vehicle.

Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, Managing Director of BAE Systems Hägglunds

BAE Systems Hägglunds has sold more than 1,700 CV90s in 17 variants for use in 10 European countries, seven of which are NATO members.
