Defining Hungary’s SOF ambitions at GSOF Symposium Europe 2022

The European Special Operations Forces (SOF) community will convene in Hungary, Budapest next month at the special invitation of the Minister of Defence of Hungary, to put the county’s SOF requirements and capabilities in the spotlight.

The requirements of the Hungarian SOF (HUNSOF) will focus discussions in the Symposium, particularly in the government-only seminar (day one). Attendees will hear opening remarks from Lieutenant General Zsolt Sándor, Deputy Commander, Hungarian Defence Forces; followed by a session on Insight on Hungarian Funding and Acquisition Processes from Dr. Gáspár Maróth, Government Commissioner of Hungary.

The requirements of the HUNSOF will further shape discussions on the exhibition show floor, where defence companies will align their technologies with the HUNSOF capabilities catalogue, compiled and published by the GSOF Foundation specifically for the 2022 event.

The Global SOF Symposium Europe is every time a major forum to discuss current topics such as facilitation of defence acquisition processes and the empowerment of SOF in the near-future security environment.

We look forward to connecting with our Partner Nations’ defence companies in order to modernize our forces and fill capability gaps to confront emerging threats.
