Kägwerks & Anduril Deliver Next-Generation Soldier Borne Mission Command

Kägwerks, in collaboration with Anduril Industries, announced the delivery of the Soldier Borne Mission Command (SBMC) solution — advancing the Army’s vision for digital modernization at the tactical edge.

As the program of record provider for Nett Warrior, Kägwerks has long served as the integrative platform for all soldier-borne communications systems. Today, those capabilities are evolving with the integration of native MANET radio networking and on-body edge compute through the DOCK Ultra.

This advancement provides the communications and compute backbone powering Soldier Borne Mission Command-Architecture (SBMC-A), Anduril’s software-based, body-worn mission command system, enabling resilient mission command, AI-enabled applications, and seamless interoperability across the Army’s Integrated Tactical Network. Kägwerks is excited to partner with Anduril on both SMBC-A and SBMC.

“Kägwerks has been the Army’s trusted integrative platform for soldier communications since 2021. With DOCK Ultra, we’ve evolved those capabilities with MANET and edge compute — delivering the foundation that powers SBMC and prepares the Army for the threats of tomorrow, today.”

Cale Teeter-Gregg, CSO of Kägwerks

Demonstrations with the 10th Mountain Division, 82nd Airborne Division, 75th Ranger Regiment, and 25th Infantry Division have already proven SBMC-A’s ability to:

  • Integrate and bridge MANET radios (TrellisWare, Silvus, DTC, L3 Harris, Persistent Systems) into one tactical fabric.
  • Leverage edge compute for AI-driven applications such as Anduril’s Lattice, Reveal Technologies Farsight, and advanced video/sensor fusion to provide a true human-to-machine integrated formation.
  • Extend and flatten the Integrated Tactical Network from the individual soldier to the brigade command post.

SBMC-A: Powered by Kägwerks DOCK Ultra

  • Program of Record Evolution – From Nett Warrior to SBMC, Kägwerks remains the Army’s integrative platform for soldier communications.
  • Edge Compute + MANET – New DOCK Ultra capabilities deliver resilient connectivity and AI at the tactical edge.
  • Future-Ready Design – Open, modular, and prepared for rapid technology insertions to keep pace with modernization.
