Gulfstream G550 Jet for Polish GOV VIP’s

The long-awaited Gulfstream G550 business jet for the Polish Air Force finally landed at Warsaw Chopin Airport on 21 June 2017. This marked the onset of the process of restoration of the military fleet of aircraft to be used for transportation of state and military VIPs.

The purchase order for two Gulfstream G550s business jets was signed in November 2016, and its value amounted to approx. 150 million USD. The delivery took so short a time because the US manufacturer builds their aircraft on a speculative basis, with the built aircraft waiting for customers – which was the case with both planes sold to Poland, both of which were subject to test flights in 4Q2016. After an initial acceptance of the aircraft at Gulfstream’s plant in Savannah, the planes were transferred to the service center in Appleton in mid-January, where they had their interiors fitted and furnished, and were painted as required…
