Danish Armed Forces procure ACS ENOK AB (Airborne) Tactical Vehicles

ACS Armoured Car Systems GmbH, based in Friedberg-Derching, has received a new order for the ENOK AB (Airborne) tactical vehicle.

Following the announcement in recent months that the Danish Armed Forces are procuring new Mercedes-Benz G-Class station wagons, there is now further news: The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) has signed a contract with Danish Mercedes-Benz sales partner Ejner Hessel A/S for new ENOK AB airborne vehicles from ACS.

Various variants of the ENOK AB will be manufactured for the Danish Armed Forces in the coming years. ACS will design, develop and manufacture important variant-specific components, while the Mercedes sales partner will be responsible for integrating and equipping the vehicles, as well as coordinating and delivering them to the armed forces.

“We are very proud to be able to equip the Danish armed forces. As part of the tendering process, the Danish Ministry of Defence tested our ENOK AB. We are delighted that our patented and modular vehicle design has impressed them.”

Stefan Koppold, Head of Sales Engineering at ACS

Like the station wagon, the ACS tactical vehicle is based on the chassis of the militarised Mercedes-Benz G-Class and offers the Danish special forces a wide range of applications. With the ENOK AB, the portfolio is rounded off with a cross-platform family concept. The vehicles will initially be used by the brigade’s reconnaissance units and for related support functions. The tactical vehicles are to be delivered in the coming years.
